Salome Cousseau Averda Sculpture
The embodiment of elegance, artist Salome Cousseau's cherry wood sculpture is stitched with aventurines held in place by goldplated pins. It sits on a solid brass pebble base. Handcrafted of French materials; the richly grained Merisier wood comes from trees that fell during a 1999 storm in France's Cognac region. Born in the Loire Valley, Salome Cousseau studied decorative arts and fashion design in Paris. As the daughter of a cabinetmaker, she grew up surrounded by wood, making it only natural that this artist shows such an innate understanding of this complex element. 7"H.
