Dan Young, 'A Fall Day to Remember'
Regarded as one of Colorado’s premier landscape artists, Dan Young honors the simplicity and organic feel of the paintings by the much-lauded early 20th century American Impressionists, Chauncey Ryder and Emil Carlsen. Through his practice as an astute observer, Young is praised for taking the viewer right back to an experience and place. He continually delights in discovering new subject matter in familiar surroundings, and finding inventive ways to paint it. Once these elements are captured on site, Young brings his field studies back to the studio to expand onto larger canvases, such as A Fall Day to Remember, a painting of a fly fisherman on the Eagle River in Colorado, with a signature touch of red. Oil on Artist Board. 24" x 36" (framed: 29" x 41 1/2"). Signed by the artist. 2019.
