Pansies, roses, blueberries, geraniums and camillias create enchanting and colorful accents on Gien's 'Millefleurs' (a thousand flowers) mug. Handcrafted of fine, porous earthenware that is then meticulously glazed to create exceptional faience. Two centuries of craftsmanship go into the making of a single Gien piece. Handcrafted in a converted convent in Gien, France, the tableware is created from locally sourced raw materials and authentic designs. Stronger than pottery or ceramics, Gien faience is fired at traditionally lower temperatures, giving it a unique richness and depth of color.
