This one-of-a-kind vessel is hand-sculpted and -painted from slab using black, white and gray matte glazes and fine earthenware clay. The gold 22-karat yellow gold streak is inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver or platinum. The technique's tenet is to treat imperfections as part of an object's rich history, meant to be celebrated rather than disguised. 7" diam. x 9"H. Hand-wash only.
