Bernardaud artisans use the same technique of hand-sculpting fine, bisque porcelain first demonstrated in the 17th century. The glow of a tealight candle (not included) shines through the raised and carved surface to contrast light against shadow, revealing a richly detailed design featuring Lakshmi — the Hindu goddess of wealth, good fortune, youth and beauty.
